Get Critical Illness Insurance Today

Life is full of joy, but also unexpected challenges, like cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses. But if you’re prepared, you can face anything.

Call 1-401-491-1284 to learn more about adding Critical Illness Insurance to your benefits package.

Why it Matters

Nearly 1 out of 3 people in the United States will have cancer during their lifetimes.1 And every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart attack. Of these, 525,000 are a first heart attack and 210,000 happen in people who have already had a heart attack.2

These illnesses can affect anyone at any time. That’s why it’s so important to buy supplemental insurance. Our policy through Washington National gives you a lump sum of cash to pay for your deductible, copays, and other costs. This way, you can focus on what matters most — getting better, day-by-day.

Coverage from Washington National Active Care

Your critical illness plan provides cash if you’re diagnosed with one of 16 critical illnesses. This cash can be used to cover:

  • Annual care and doctor office wellness visits
  • Hospital and ICU stays
  • Certain treatments and procedures
  • Outpatient surgeries

If you don’t use your benefit, you have the option to get money back for the premiums you paid. And, if you have a recurrence, Washington National Active Care will still cover you even if your other insurance stops paying.

Add Accident Coverage

Did you know every second someone in the United States is hurt from an accident?3 Whether it’s from falling or getting hit by a car, accidents mean hefty medical bills. And if you have a high deductible health plan ($1500+) to pay before insurance kicks in, you could experience financial troubles too.

Adding an accident insurance rider4 to your critical illness coverage will help you pay for your high deductible if you have an accident, plus offer you up to $50,000 in accidental death and dismemberment coverage. Adding accident coverage reduces the cost of a covered accident, so you can keep your high deductible health plan (instead of paying for a high-cost plan) and still be protected financially.

Accident Coverage from Washington National

Your accident insurance plan will cover:

  • Accidental death and dismemberment
  • Fractures and dislocations
  • Joint replacement
  • Lacerations and burns
  • Emergency room and urgent care visits
  • Doctor office visits
  • Ligament, tendon and cartilage surgeries
  • Ruptured disc and hernia surgeries
  • Eye surgeries
